Pikamini Update

Sunday 16th August 2009

Well here we are already heading towards the end of the show season with only the Canungra Show and Gold Coast shows to go.

In a way it's a relief but it's also it's a shame due to the fun we have at the shows. For us it's a nice piece of timing however because we're due for some new baby mini's from mid October though to November. We'll have some of our herd for sale too and some grass eaters as well. Please check back in the next few weeks for some opportunities to pick up some of our excellent little crew.

We're STOKED with the year we've had in the ring so far because our guys made us proud with some great successes. Please check out the show result page for a run down on how they went. We've got some stunning trophies in the cabinet and humbling amount of ribbons, rosettes, and prizes.

Thanks for stopping in, and please check back soon for updates on animals for sale. Of course, you can always ring or email us.

Tracy.

The Nanango 100th Show!

Monday the 6th April 2009

What a day!. We started out early and were greeted with rain over us, and Wivenhoe Dam. But we can't complain, can we?. We packed up our guys and headed towards Nanango with an early start. Not as early as some!. We were hoping and praying the day would stay cloudy and overcast, which it did for a decent chunk of it. But by mid-morning the sky cleared and we were blasted with all the sun's glory....and humidity.

The mini goats had another good showing with 6 studs at Nanango which is a fair distance from Brisbane. Not sure if that shows our commitment or our competitiveness. hehe.

We had just 2 of our guys showing. Grover, and Jitterbug. We were stoked when Jitterbug picked up 'Best Doe' in the 1 - 2 year olds and Grover picked up 2nd in the same category for the Bucks.
Jitterbug picked up the 'Nanango 100th Show Reserve Champion Miniature Bred Doe Under 3 Years' which is something we're extremely proud of, and together they picked up 1st in the 'Sire's Progeny', as well.

Check the show page for pictures and a small video of the day.

A great day, and great fun. Hopefully next year we'll be right behind the Dutch Pancake Stall again!. Yum.
